BHMS 8th-grade boys beat Leo, 7th-grade loses

Bluffton-Harrison Middle School’s eighth-grade boys’ basketball team defeated Leo 41-27. 

Bluffton led 10-8 after one quarter, but outscored Leo 12-4 in the second to take a 22-12 lead at halftime. The Tigers kept the lead by outscoring Leo 19-15 in the second half. AJ Streveler led Bluffton with 22 points. 

Bluffton’s seventh-grade boys lost 35-30 to Leo. 

Leo got off to a hot 10-3 start after one quarter, butl ed just 17-14 at halftime. 

Leo outscored the Tigers again 11-9 in the third quarter to push the lead to 5 points. Then both sides matched in the fourth quarter, sealing the win for Leo.

Cooper Craig and Jared Moser each scored 8 points to lead Bluffton. 

BHMS girls’ teams lose to Leo

Bluffton-Harrison Middle School’s seventh-grade girls’ basketball team lost 28-19 to Leo. 

Bluffton trailed just 13-12 at halftime, but Leo pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring its opponent 11-2. 

Allie Koby led Bluffton with 6 points, and Sophie Eisenhut followed with 4. 

Bluffton’s eighth-grade girls lost 46-17 to Leo. Leo scored in double figures all four quarters, while Bluffton managed just 7 points in the first three quarters combined. 

Konley Ault and Savanna Hughett were the Tigers’ top scorers with 6 points each.
