Cathy J. (Booth) Borgelt, 71, of Surprise, Arizona, and formerly of Adams County, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 1, 2025, at her residence.
Cathy was born on July 19, 1954, in Adams County, to Emery and Jane (Milholland) Booth. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her stepfather, Carl Hurst. She married the Rev. Larry G. Borgelt in Decatur on Jan. 4, 1974; he survives.
In addition to her husband, Cathy is survived by two daughters, Pamela Borgelt of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Laura (Robert) Jenkins of Bloomer, Wisconsin; a sister, Bonnie Strong; and six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, Cathy was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Said.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Goodwin – Harnish Funeral Home, 3220 East State Road 124 in Bluffton, with one hour of visitation prior to the service from 10 until 11 a.m. Cathy’s husband, Rev. Larry Borgelt, will officiate. Private family burial will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
