
Carol K. (Nusbaumer) Lugar, age 80, of Bluffton, Indiana, met her Savior face to face Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.
Carol Kay was the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Loy (Thomas) Nusbaumer.
She graduated from Chester Center High School in 1964. Carol spent most of her life in Chester Township. She attended Chester Center Church in her early years. She was employed at Old First National Bank in Bluffton along with CTS of Berne.
Carol adored her family and friends and was an amazing Momma.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamara “Tammy” Lugar of Bluffton; siblings, Linda (Carl) Marvic of Vista, Texas, Marlene (Jim) Hoag of Craigville and Darrel (Deborah) Nusbaumer of Bluffton. Carol loved her ornery nine nephews and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Eugene Lugarl; and brother, G. Lamoine Nusbaumer.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember Carol from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026 and one hour prior to services on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier.
A service to celebrate Carol’s life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home with Pastor Lyle Breeding officiating. Interment will follow in the Stahl Cemetery in Petroleum.
