Robert (Bob) F. Davis, 71, of Bluffton, passed away on Wednesday evening, Aug. 20, 2025, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.
Bob was born on May 2, 1954, in Rochester, IN to Edward and Majorie (Thompson) Davis, the first of four children. He graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 1972 and married Remedios (Remie) Matangcas on May 10, 1996, in Mati Davao Oriental, Philippines. They shared 29 years of marriage together.
Bob worked at several Wells County manufacturing companies including Kitco, Inc., Poore Brothers, and Walbro. He was known for his sense of humor and he enjoyed travelling, trains and watching movies. For many years he attended and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Bluffton.
Survivors include his wife, Remie; his son, Nathan (Mindy) Davis; and grandsons Walker and Tucker of Ellington, Missiori. He is also survived by his siblings, Sherri (Ted) Harter and Andy (Cindy) Davis both of Bluffton; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Douglas Davis.
Visitation will be held at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a memorial service at the funeral home. Pastor Doug McClure will officiate. Burial will then take place at the Akron Citizens Cemetery, Akron, Indiana.
