Justin M. Rekeweg, 36, of Bluffton, passed away on Thursday evening, Aug. 14, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on Dec. 13, 1988, in Bluffton, to Stanley D. Rekeweg and Susan (Douglass) Costa. Justin graduated from Norwell High School with the class of 2007.
Justin had a love for being outdoors and working hard with his hands. He loved driving his dump trucks, farming, doing construction work and working livestock, both cattle and hogs. He enjoyed doing dirt work and had a talent for operating excavators and heavy equipment. He was currently working with Blake Johnson at Shaw Ag and Earthwork and farming with his uncle, Steve Douglass.
On June 25, 2025, Justin and Kari D. (Johnson) were married in Bluffton.
Justin is survived by his wife, Kari D. Rekeweg of Bluffton and their two golden retrievers, Abby and Penelope. He is also survived by his father, Stanley D. Rekeweg of Ossian; mother, Susan Costa of Markle; and his brother, Jason (Danielle) Rekeweg of Markle; along with two nephews, Matthew and Caleb Rekeweg; his grandmother, Marilyn Douglass of Markle; and his in-laws, Stan and Diane Johnson of Bluffton.
Justin is preceded in death by his grandpa, Rex Douglass; and grandparents, Edgar and Rosella Rekeweg.
Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton with Pastor Geoff Cocanower officiating.
Friends can visit Justin’s family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service.
