
Dorothy Ann Marshall, 82, of Bluffton, passed away Thursday evening, March 20, 2025, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Dorothy was born in Muddy Pond, Tennessee, on Dec. 8, 1942, to James H. and Alice (Wilson) Brown. She was a graduate of Southern Wells High School. Dorothy married John Marshall in Hartford City. on Nov. 27, 1963; he survives in Bluffton. She worked at Corning Glass and Keebler’s in Bluffton, retiring from the South Main Street Pak-A-Sak convenience store in Bluffton in 2004. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, card playing and her love of baking and making homemade noodles.
Dorothy is survived by her husband John; three children, Gary (Barbara) Marshall of Fort Wayne, and Brenda (Donnie) Steffen and James (Rose) Marshall, both of Bluffton; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and a brother, Noel Brown of Crossville, Tennesse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, William, Lawrence, Owen, Hanson and Clarence Brown; four sisters, Bonnie Ritter, Norma Jean Donathon, Ima Jean Fuller and Emma Jean Cline.
Per Dorothy’s wishes, there are no public services planned at this time. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
