Eugene J. “Geno” Magnin, 83, of Bluffton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, March 8, 2025, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation in Ossian.

Eugene was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 30, 1941, to Howard J. and Mary V. (Janka) Magnin. Both parents preceded him in death. He married Marsha J. Shook in Bluffton, on June 3, 2006; she survives.

A graduate of Dobbins Vocational School, Eugene was a longtime partner at Deputy Crown Printing in Camden, New Jersey, before retiring in 1998. He was a lifelong Eagles fan and a master gardener in his free time. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Bluffton. 

In addition to his wife, Eugene is survived by four sons, Scott (Lynn) Magnin of Placentia, California, Eric (Janice) Magnin of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Joshua (Devin) Magnin of Nashville, Tennessee and Jon (Caitlin) Magnin of Acworth, Georgia; a daughter, Lori (Bob) O’Rourke of Mount Dora, Florida; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one on the way.

Aside from his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Magnin; a brother, Thomas Magnin; and two sisters, Sara Timms and Mary Conrad.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed immediately by a memorial service at 5 p.m. Pastor Tim Miller will officiate.
