FORT WAYNE — The Norwell Knights qualified again for the regional meet in girls’ golf.

At Chestnut Hills, the Knights shot a 394 and finished in second place Friday, sitting 71 strokes behind a strong No. 12 Homestead team.

Individual scores included a fifth-place finish from Ellie Gatton with an 85, and the top golfer not from Homestead. Savanna Simerman followed with a tie for seventh-place finish with a 97, Emma Burnau 13th (104), Jessica Bynum 17th (108) and Jordyn Shroyer 20th (110).

Norwell will be at Noble Hawk next week at the regional starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28.
