Bluffton, Norwell and Southern Wells’ cross country teams all participated at the Wildcat Jackson Classic at Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday.
The Tigers and Raiders were together in the grey race, while the Knights were in the red race.
The Bluffton boys won the event overall with a team score of 72, topping Lakewood Park Christian by 15 points. Levi Johns and Jude Baumgartner placed second and fourth overall to lead the team.
The girls placed sixth with a team score of 175. Cora Kunkel and Abigail Ramseyer were the top Tigers with places of eighth and 12th.
The Southern Wells boys placed in seventh with a team score of 209. Their top runner was Kelton Barr in 20th. The girls finished in 14th with a score of 312. Marianna Pease was the top runner at 16th.
In the red race, the Norwell girls finished 10th with a team score of 297. The Knights’ top runners were Ashley Tucker in 44th and Mia Kurtz in 52nd. The boys finished 21st with a team score of 518. Their top finisher was Gavin Threewits in 71st and Gage Reinhard in 72.
