County Commissioners will hold executive session
The Wells County Commissioners will meet in an executive session at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.
The reason for the session was cited as discussion of a real property transaction.
Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon
The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

County Commissioners will hold public hearing Tuesday
The Wells County Commissioners will hold a public hearing concerning a petition from Rock Creek Stone Quarry at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.
The petition requests the vacation of a portion of County Road 500 West south of its intersection with County Road 100 North to a point south of the Whitelock Ditch culvert on County Road 500 West, a length of 1,650 ft. Rock Creek Stone Quarry will construct a new roadway to the west of the vacated portion of road, which will not take place before Dec. 31, 2024.
Following the public hearing, the commissioners will hold their regular meeting. Topics on the agenda include:
