Southern Wells will yet again be in search of a new head football coach.
Athletic Director Todd Thieme confirmed that coach Jeff Sprunger has stepped down from the position after one year at the helm. The athletic department is currently searching for a replacement. This will be the Raiders’ third head football coach in three seasons.
Sprunger was hired last year to replace Mike Roeder. Sprunger led the Raiders to their first football victory in a 29-26 road win over Elwood in week one last season.
