Once again, Indiana can’t make up its mind.
It decided to feel like spring last week, and then it opted for one last shot of winter this week.
In fact, I think we’ve had more seasons these past two weeks than voters have gubernatorial candidates to choose from this upcoming primary — and at this point, I think Donald Trump and me are the only two people not running for the governor’s seat.
Oh, I know spring and summer will eventually return. God promised it to Noah in Genesis 9, but until then — and even afterward — I must remember that I must live life and keep pressing on regardless of the weather.
And I hope this song inspires people to keep walking on when their circumstances feel less like spring or summer; I hope it inspires those who see the shadow of a gray, bleak winter possibly — but not certainly — on the horizon.
Verse 1
Are you stumbling?
Are you fearing?
Are you wond’ring?
And are you weary?
Pre-chorus
Then come to the Savior who carried the cross
Who suffered the shame to comfort the lost
Chorus:
And walk on in faith
Hold on to grace
Kneel down and pray
Love and obey
Jesus still reigns
Jesus still saves
So don’t turn back or faint
Just walk on, walk on in faith
Verse 2
My suffering Savior,
My God and my friend
Help me pray
That Thy will be done
‘Til that gold, glorious morning
When You come again
With power and glory
Even so Lord, amen!
Chorus:
So I’ll …
Walk on in faith
Hold on to grace
Kneel down and pray
Love and obey
Jesus still reigns
Jesus still saves
So don’t turn back or faint
Just walk on, walk on in faith
Jesus still saves
So don’t turn back or faint
Just walk on, walk on in faith
Bridge
Yea, though I walk through the valley of death
Beyond its dark chasm, I will forever rest
