Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon

The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the meeting room on the first floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

Topics on the agenda will include:

• A discussion regarding a shooting range, brought by Sally Haus.

• Personnel and financial matters. 

Norwell school board to hold executive session

The board of the Northern Wells Community Schools will meet at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Norwell High School, 1100E. U.S. 224, for an executive session. The reason for the session was cited as to either receive information about an individual’s misconduct or to determine the status as an employee, student, physician or bus driver under the board’s jurisdiction.

Norwell school board will meet Tuesday evening

The board of the Norwell Community Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Norwell High School, 1100E. U.S. 224.

Topics on the agenda will include:

• Personnel and financial matters. 

• A revisited conversation regarding latchkey services on April 8. 

A strategic planning session will directly follow the regular board agenda.

Wells County BZA will  meet Tuesday evening

The Wells County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Room 214 on the ground floor of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St. in Bluffton.

Topics on the agenda will include: 

• Election of officers.

• A request from Todd Fiechter and Aaron Isch to reduce road frontage from 25 ft. to zero feet on a R-1 property located on the east side of Wayne Street and south of Harrison Street in Bluffton.

• 2023 annual report. 

PSAP Advisory Board will meet Wednesday morning

The advisory board for the Public Safety Answering Point (911 Dispatch) will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Discussion and approval of an executive committee. 

• Organization of the board and approved meeting dates.

• Discussion regarding radio encryption, brought by Director Mike Miller. 

• A director’s report from Miller.  

A policy committee meeting will directly follow the regular agenda.
