The ILPA is a vibrant nonpartisan network of land trusts, conservation partners and community members. The alliance champions land and water protection for all of Indiana. Collectively, they have protected more than 176,000 acres throughout the state: natural habitats, farms, forests, cultural sites and other special places that inspire curiosity. We preserve Indiana’s heritage, enhance quality of life for Hoosiers and reveal surrounding natural communities, which are far richer and more dynamic than the ones we’ve built.

Huntington has a deep appreciation for Indiana’s rich and diverse landscapes and admires the work being accomplished by land trusts and partners. Andrea graduated from Temple University and Chicago-Kent College of Law. She transitioned from law to land conservation in 2017, generating awareness and support for habitats and ecosystems along the southern Lake Michigan Watershed, including in our area.

Anyone is welcome to join Ossian Rotary this Thursday morning, at 7:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ossian, 1001 Dehner Drive on Ossian’s north side.

For more information, please contact Jeremy Penrod, Ossian Rotary President, at jeremy.penrod@edwardjones.com.

Next Thursday, Feb. 22, will be a social event for Ossian Rotary, with breakfast served at 7:30 by the ladies of First Baptist Church of Ossian.

Ossian Rotary is a small part of a larger organization, Rotary International, which was founded almost 120 years ago in Chicago. Ossian Rotary is a group of people with a desire to meet new people, network, get involved and make a difference in Ossian and the surrounding community. Each week we have a different speaker, usually business experts, political and civic leaders, and entrepreneurs, who help us stay informed on topics that are relevant to our community.
