The Wells County Public Library takes its mission to “provide the community with access, knowledge and growth” very seriously and offers a variety of events each week for kids, teens, and adults.

Story Sessions

Reading Through a Winter Wonderland – Winter Reading
During the month of February, sign up at the library, online at wellscolibrary.org, or via the READsquared app to participate in our Winter Reading challenge. Read just 300 pages for the month and get a coupon for a free Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut and a chance to win a prize basket. Participate in a Wonderland Bonus for extra entries in the gift basket drawings. All pages read will count towards our community goal. The more pages read, the more books we donate to Kate’s Kart, which gives books to hospitalized children at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library and Pizza Hut.
Brown Bag Book Club
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Monday, Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m.
Adults. Read a book of your choice and then come share about your book with others. Registration required.
Crafty Kids At Ossian
At the Ossian Branch Library: Monday, Feb. 12 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Grades K-6. Drop-in for a craft and snack.
Theater Thursday
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m.
Adults. Join us for a movie, popcorn, and snacks. Sponsored by the Bluffton Parks & Recreation and the Friends of the Library. No registration needed.
Board Game Night
At the Ossian Branch Library: Thursday, Feb. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Adults (18+). Join us for a night of tabletop games at the Ossian Branch. Registration appreciated.
Pizza and Trivia: Club 456
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Thursday, Feb. 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Grades 4-6. Connect together in teams for a fun trivia night. Sign up individually or with a friend. Registration requested.
Saturday Movies
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Saturday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
All ages. Drop-in for a family-friendly movie under the stars in the Story Hour Room.
Library Closed for President’s Day
The Main Library (Bluffton) and Ossian Branch will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19 for President’s Day.
Computer and iPad Club
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Adults. Start with Computer Club and then go or stay for iPad Club. Each month has a different tech focus and there is plenty of time for questions. Normally held on the second Tuesday of the month, but we will be meeting a week late in February. All skill levels are welcome. Registration appreciated your first visit.
Craft Club
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Adults. Bring a current travel-sized project and your materials with you to work on your craft projects while chatting with others and learning from each other. Open to those that knit, crochet, embroider, quilt, paper craft, and more. See what materials the library has to assist you as well. Registration appreciated, but not required.
Kids’ Club
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
A club for kids in K-3rd grade who enjoy fun stories, activities, and crafts! The meeting will be held in the Story Hour room every third Tuesday of the month. The program lasts about an hour. Registration appreciated.
Mini Golf Fundraiser
At the Main Library (Bluffton): Friday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Wells County Public Library is hosting our 2nd annual library Mini Golf Fundraiser. There will be 18-holes of mini golf set up throughout the first floor of the library. Stop by at the times listed above and for a small fee, you’ll get to play a fun round of mini golf, while helping the library raise funds for the Friends of the Library, which help support and fund library programs for children, teens, and adults. You can purchase tickets for $5 each or if you pre-purchase 4 or more tickets at the library before the event, they will be $4 per person. The library is also seeking sponsorships for the event.
