The Wells County Council held a special meeting Wednesday night to correct a mistake in the original budget outline.

While the council had agreed to budget $76,000 for the Purdue Extension 4-H Office, the approved ordinance did not include this data. Auditor Lisa McCormick noticed the mistake, and a special meeting was scheduled to approve a revised budget in Ordinance 2023-17. It was approved 6-0, with council members Seth Whicker, Todd Mahnensmith, Scott Ezley, Brandon Harnish, Steve Huggins, and Brian Lambert present and Vicki Andrews absent.

The next regular council meeting is 7 p.m. Nov. 7.
