A fatal crash on Ind. 124 claimed the life of a Bluffton man Friday, Oct. 6.
In a press release, Adams County Sheriff Dan Mawhorr said lifesaving measurers were “exhausted” on Kim P. Graham, 70, Bluffton, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement was contacted at approximately 4:24 p.m regarding the collision at the intersection of Ind. 124 and Adams County Road 200 East. Dean L. Ulrey, 74, Rocford, Ohio, was reportedly driving a Chrysler Town and Country westbound on Ind. 124 and turned southbound on CR 200E, failing to yield to Graham, who was driving a GMC Sierra eastbound on Ind. 124. Ulrey’s vehicle was struck by Graham’s in the rear passenger side. Evidence then indicates Graham’s truck left the roadway and overturned.
A passenger of the Ulrey’s vehicle, Sandra J. Ulrey, was emergency transported by Adams County EMS to a Fort Wayne area hospital.
The investigation is ongoing. Adams County deputies were assisted by the Monroe Fire Department, Adams County EMS and Lutheran Air.
