Fine arts Day at the Parlor City Market Saturday
Fine Arts Day will be celebrated at the Parlor City Plaza on Saturday, hosted by the Creative Arts Council.
Entertainment on the plaza stage will include:
9:30 a.m.: CAC Voice Students
9:45 a.m.: Creative Arts Dance Co.
10:30 a.m.: Studio 88 Piano Students
11:15 a.m.: Parlor City Shakespeare
Activities for kids will include chalk art and printmaking. A Pottery Demonstration will be presented by JH Pottery Works.
Vendors planning to be on hand will be: Nancy’s Crafts, Sunny Vibes Soaps, RL Woodworks, Brooke’s Bow Boutique, Simply Clean Microgreens, Divine Shine, Leah Crochets Studio, Freds Family Farm, Redneck Oasis and Creative Crew Craft-ers.
Partners for the day will be Reece Life Dad Life and Wells County Trails. Entertainment after the CAC groups will be by Andy Moser with 90’s acoustic music.
Three chances to see dance company perform snow white
Creative Arts Dance Company (CADC) will be performing an abridged version of “Snow White” throughout the month of September.
There are three opportunities for the community to see this classic tale performed. First will be on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 9:45 a.m. at the Parlor City Plaza on Fine Arts Day. Next will be at “Story Time” at the Wells County Public Library at 10:30 a.m., also on Saturday, Sept. 9.
The third opportunity to see the “Snow White” performance will be during Bluffton’s Street Fair when it is performed at the Parlor City Plaza on Friday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m.
‘Fall trails’ next for Ouabache’s lunch and learn
Friends of Ouabache State Park’s next “Lunch & Learn” will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14, with Jody Heaston, IMN State Coordinator, presenting the program about “Fall Trail Tales.”
Participants should bring their own lunch and gather at noon at the Lodge by the Lake. Dessert will be furnished by Corner Depot Catering.
The program is free, however gate fees apply.
