INCIDENTS

City:

Tuesday, 8:12 p.m., Gerber Bridge. Report of a vehicle off the road with spiderwebbed rear window and an ice cream cone thrown at it. It is assumed the driver was fishing due to fishing poles around the vehicle.

Tuesday, 8:14 p.m., Fairview Cemetery. Report of four children playing and did not leave when told.

Tuesday, 9:39 p.m., 100 block of North Oak Street. Report of tree cut down in yard and was unsure who did it.

Tuesday, 11:19 p.m., corner of South Oak and West Townley streets. Caller reported five juveniles took his sons bike.

Wednesday, 1:02 a.m., Napa Auto Parts. Caller requested to speak to an officer. He reportedly found a compartment in his car that people could hide things in and wanted officers to know.

Wednesday, 4:14 a.m., 600 block of Westfield Drive. Caller requesting information and was advised.

Wednesday, 11:41 a.m., 100 block of West Wabash Street. Report of woman in WOW parking lot screaming and cussing at caller.

Wednesday, 12:36 p.m., Walmart. Report of couple in Walmart fighting, one person appeared to be under the influence.

County:

Tuesday, 3:14 p.m.,1723E 350N, Bluffton. Solicitor complaint. The solicitor did not have a permit and was advised he and anyone from his company would be cited without a permit. The man stopped and contacted his transportation for pick-up.

Tuesday, 4:08 p.m., west U.S. 224 and north 300W. Vehicle off the roadway. Waiting for AAA towing service.

Tuesday, 5:17 p.m., residence on 200W, Bluffton. Report of threatening messages from family members.

Wednesday, 2:22 a.m., north Ind. 1 and east 350N. Vehicle with a flat tire off the roadway. 

Wednesday, 8:42 a.m., west Ind. 218 and south 300W. Report of a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed. 

Ossian:

Tuesday, 10:31 p.m., Morton Lane and north Jefferson Street. Minivan dragging a large tarp underneath and behind it. Driver advised it fell off a tow truck and the deputy helped him remove the tarp. 

Wednesday, 12:01 a.m., north Ind. 1 and east 900N. Vehicle stopped for having a headlight out. The vehicle smelled of marijuana, but a search of the vehicle was negative. The driver admitted to smoking marijuana, but that he hadn’t in several days. 

ACCIDENTS

City:

Tuesday, 5:26 p.m., Ind. 1 and Lamar Street. Wesley Shane was driving and stated he was distracted by looking at a nearby business. The front of his Fort F-250 collided with the rear end of Larry Cook’s Chevy Silverado, which was stopped in traffic. Both vehicles sustained non-disabling damage at the points of impact. Damages not exceeding $1,001.

Wednesday, 11:45 a.m., West Washing Street. Amy Frauhiger was driving straight in a Toyota Sienna when she struck a parked Chevy Traverse. Damages not exceeding $1,001.

ARRESTS

Joshua Isaac Lutz, 19, Fort Wayne; domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $25,000. 

Hunter Logan Clark, 23, Bluffton; probation violation, a Class A misdemeanor, and probation violation, a Level 6 felony. No bond set.
