A slide presentation by Neil Ainslie Sunday afternoon at the Wells County Historical Museum annex had those attending learning that the Wabash River’s name means “white stone,” that it begins as a ditch in Ohio, is 475 miles long, drains 73 of Indiana’s 92 counties, is home to 400 species of animals, and is 14,000 years old. Ainslie was introduced by Jim Sturgeon, the Historical Society’s president. (Photo by Barbara Barbieri)
