A performance Sunday was a fundraiser for what is a landmark event coming up this summer — the 175th anniversary of the founding of Zanesville, Ind.
Brent A. Cooper of Fort Wayne brought his impression of Elvis Presley, titled “Memories of the King,” to the Lighted Gardens facility north of Ossian. Proceeds from the event are going to the Zanesville Lions Club Festival Fund.
Another fundraising event is scheduled for next Saturday — a 5-kilometer run, which is scheduled for an 8:15 a.m. start at the Tower Life Center Church in Zanesville. A one-mile fun run for boys and girls 12 years of age and under is scheduled for 8 a.m.
The awards program is slated for 9 a.m. Registration is available from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. Saturday. The cost for the 5K on race day is $15 per entrant.
