Knights rout Bulldogs in junior varsity baseball
Norwell’s junior varsity baseball team made quick work at New Haven with a 15-1 win Tuesday.
The game lasted five innings due to mercy rules.
Adam McBride and Max Babcock led the team with two hits each. McBride hit a triple and drove in three runs while Babcock had a double.
Korben Nuenschwander did not record a hit, but did drive in a team-high four RBIs.
Noah Turk got the win, throwing five innings, allowing just one run on two hits, no walks, and struck out eight.
Norwell will host East Noble at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4.
Norwell falls in both MS soccer matches
The Norwell boys’ and girls’ middle school soccer teams lost both games Tuesday against Indian Springs.
The boys lost 5-1 with the lone goal scored by Camden Fisher.
The girls team lost 3-0.
Addison Parson had a strong night in night with “several highlight real saves” according to head coach Dan Batdorff.
Jillian Smith, Avery Elmore, and Lilly Holmes had nice efforts on defense.
Haddie Isch, Leah Randol, Adrienne Wagner and Gabby Gill, were also mentioned by the coach for having strong nights.
Norwell will host Riverview at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 4.
