Friday, 7:35 p.m., complaint of loud music in the area of West Central Avenue and South Walmer Street. Nothing found.
Friday, 7:40 p.m., 200 block of West Wabash Street. Woman yelling at three juveniles, warned for disorderly conduct.
Friday, 9:06 p.m., Union and Market streets. Report of a young child riding a motorized scooter on Market Street. Nothing found.
Friday, 9:17 p.m., Premier Avenue. Lost passport reported.
Friday, 9:22 p.m., 500 block of West Market Street. Caller to 911 said there was an argument; two individuals were reportedly playing ball and making noise. Officers advised them to keep it down.
Friday, 9:24 p.m. 911 call from the 500 block of West Ohio Street. Call was accidental.
Friday, 10:20 p.m., Capri Court. Woman said she is being threatened by acquaintances. Officers spoke to the caller about a possible protection order.

Sunday, 4:29 p.m., police were called to Kroger to assist with a dispute.
Sunday, 6:23 p.m., a northbound traffic light was reported hanging down at the intersection of North Main and East Monroe streets.
Sunday, 7:47 p.m., police were called to settle a verbal argument between two parties at Pine Grove Apartments. One party left before police arrived.
Monday, 1:04 a.m.. a dog was found running loose on East Market Street. Police contacted the owner who then took possession of the dog at his residence.
Monday, 6:32 a.m., an alarm went off by mistake at Advanced Auto Parts. An employee was not sure how to turn off the alarm.
Monday, 1:23 p.m., a student was found with a vape at Bluffton High School.

Friday, 12:17 p.m., A-1 Storage, Bluffton. Report of theft from a storage unit. Woman stated her deceased partner had purchased the unit to store yard and holiday decor, and when she went to retrieve it the padlock was missing and the space had been completely cleared out. The woman stated an A-1 Storage employee told her one of her partner’s sons had taken the items. The deputy contacted one of the business owners, who advised the deceased had never provided the woman’s phone number, so the owner had contacted the next of kin listed in the obituary to collect the unit items. The deputy was unable to make contact with the son.
Friday, 12:25 p.m., residence on 1st Street, Petroleum. Deceased woman found. The deceased was found to be the mother of an employee, and the detective on scene deferred investigation to the Indiana State Police and Wells County Coroner.
Friday, 1:23 p.m., Ind. 1 and 700N. Driver pulled over due to the vehicle overheating. Driver advised they were on their way to purchase more coolant.
Friday, 2:41 p.m., Wells County Animal Shelter, Bluffton. Request for a deputy for an animal bite citation that occurred in the county.
Friday, 3:40 p.m., Ind. 116 and 400W. Golden retriever found with collar and tags.
Saturday, 2:19 a.m., 100E and Rose Road. Suspicious vehicle parked with driver inside. Driver advised he was clearing his head.
Saturday, 4:24 a.m., 700E and 350S. Abandoned truck along the ditch.
Saturday, 12:47 p.m., residence on 1200S, Montpelier. Standby for the Department of Child Services.
Saturday, 11:37 p.m., 7145N Ind. 1, Bluffton. Suspicious truck parked in lot. Driver advised he had pulled over for a break.
Sunday, 12:47 a.m., Wells County 4-H Park, Bluffton. Three vehicle found unoccupied at the park.
Saturday, 1:14 a.m., Main Street and Market Street, Bluffton. Assisted Bluffton Police Department with a traffic stop. Upon arrival, the deputy identified the smell of marijuana in the vehicle and a bottle of Patron tequila on the passenger side floor. The deputy later located a vaporizer in the center console. Driver James F. Knight, 43, Bluffton, refused a SoToxa drug test. A breath test tested at 0.108 percent. Knight was arrested for operating while intoxicated greater than 0.08 percent and less than 0.15 percent, a Class C misdemeanor, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $7,000. Bonded.
Sunday, 2:13 a.m., 500N and 450E. A deputy observed a vehicle stop at the intersection of 500N and 450E, where the passenger door opened and the occupant began vomiting. The deputy turned on its lights and approached the vehicle. Driver Lillie Mitchell, 19, advised they were heading home and the passenger Landri Bauermeister, 20, Ossian, wasn’t feeling well. The deputy identified a strong smell of alcohol from the vehicle and Bauermeister. Bauermeister denied a portable breath test, and was transported back to the Wells County Sheriff’s Office. While being transported, Bauermeister threw up several more times. At the jail, Bauermeister blew 0.157 percent in a breath test. Bauermeister was arrested for consuming an alcoholic beverage as a minor, a Class C misdemeanor. No bond set.
Sunday, 12:33 p.m., 800N and 600W. Vehicle rollover. Female juvenile ejected. Advised of head laceration and obvious leg injury. Transported by EMS. Freeman’s towed the vehicle. Report to follow.
Sunday, 1:17 p.m., Walmart, Bluffton. Multiple-vehicle accident. Both vehicles were able to be driven away from the scene. Report to follow.
Sunday, 10:15 p.m., Lancaster Elementary School. Suspicious vehicle. Advised pulled into the lot to stargaze on top of the hill.
Ossian:
Saturday, 3:46 p.m., Silo Farms. Complaintant stated her boyfriend had dropped her off at work in the morning, then packed his things from their apartment and left in her vehicle. The deputy advised that the issue was a civil matter and that she had the right to take the vehicle back if she located it.
Saturday, 11:39 p.m., Ossian Deli. Found ID. Returned to owner.
Sunday, 3:33 a.m., residence on Brenden Way. Burglary alarm triggered on bedroom window. Homeowner entered an incorrect password on the alarm. Residence cleared at 3:53 a.m.
Monday, 5:22 a.m., Ossian Town Hall. Complaint of vehicle following too closely with an inconsistent speed. A deputy located the vehicle whiler running stationary radar looking for traffic law violations on Ind. 1 near 400N. The vehicle’s speed was captured at 69 mph. The deputy pulled away to follow the vehicle, which decreased its speed and turned onto 300N and then again onto 100E. The deputy then began a traffic stop. Driver Shahogany SD Thomas, 44, Fort Wayne, was not eligible for a license due to two indefinite suspensions for failure to appear for a driver’s safety program and failure to file insurance. Three passengers in the vehicle refused to provide identification. Shahogany SD Thomas was arrested for driving while suspended, prior suspension within 10 years. She was also cited for 69 in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle was towed by Pemberton’s and the passengers denied transport.
ACCIDENTS
City:
Sunday, 5:44 p.m., Washington and Morgan streets. A car driven by Echo N. Staker, 20, 520 Central Ave., was southbound on Morgan Street when it pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Wilbert Grayson, 34, 1028 W. Washington St. According to a police report, Grayson’s vehicle struck Staker’s vehicle on the passenger side and Grayson’s vehicle had heavy front end damage. Staker admitted she has never had a driverr’s license. Total damage estimate was between $5,001 and $10,000.
Friday, 2:20 p.m., Oak and Wabash streets. According to a police report, a vehicle driven by Marie L. Malia, Warren, which was southbound on Oak Street, pulled across the intersection and was struck by a van driven by Jessica M. Snelling, 608 Beth Ave., which was westbound on Wabash Street. Malia said she did not see Snelling’s vehicle.

Friday, 6:30 p.m., 100E near 1000N, Ossian. Aidan C. Austin, 19, Fort Wayne, was driving a 2013 Cadillac XTS traveling south and struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle was towed by UNK. Damage exceeded $5,000.
Saturday, 10:12 p.m., 1100S at 1000W, Dillman. Irene Cruz, 22, Marion, was driving a 2007 GMC Acadia eastbound on 1100S near 1000W and struck a cow in the roadway. The vehicle was towed by Wyatt’s. Damage exceeded $10,000.

Friday, 3:58 p.m., Pine Grove Court. First responders called to Pine Grove Court in regarding to a young girl who fell from a height of approximately six feet.
Friday, 11 p.m. Caller advised that a woman had fallen and needed assistance. Chester Township Fire Department notified.
Saturday, 1:20 a.m. Lifeline notification for medical problem in the 900 block of West Hancock Street in Uniondale. Uniondale Fire Department notified.
Saturday, 7:42 a.m. Fire alarm reported at Landmark Recovery, doing business as Praxis of Fort Wayne, 1529 Lancaster St. Building evacuated. No sign of fire, but the smoke head in the dining room was flashing. Device would be reset.

Saturday, 5:56 p.m. Fire alarm at Praxis, 1529 Lancaster St. Alarm may have been possibly picking up cigarette smoke.
Saturday, 9:56 p.m., 907 W. Washington St. in Bluffton. Fire reported in a residence, with flames in an upper level. Structure evacuated. Fire reported under control at 10:45 p.m. Upstairs area is considered a total loss; Salvation Army was able to relocate residents to a local motel. Bluffton, Liberty Township, and Ossian fire departments responded.
Sunday, 4:33 .m. Ossian fire responders called out to the 200 block of Maxine Drive for a medical problem.
Sunday, 11:03 a.m. First responder call made to the Chester Township Fire Department regarding a medical emergency on Wells County Road 1100S between 700W and 800W.
Sunday, 11:58 a.m. Nottingham Towenship Fire Department called out to a structure fire at 6041E-800S. Electrical fire was reportedly extinguised but there was still smoke inside the home. All occupants were outside the structure.

Tessa Lynne Karbach, 37, Fort Wayne; pick-pocketing, value more than $750 but less than $50,000, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $5,000.
Ronald Lee Petty, 50, Bluffton; domestic battery with a prior unrelated conviction for battery in the same family, a Level 5 felony. Bond set at $5,000.
Nicole R. Burris, 43, Marion; contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, providing alcohol to a minor, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $2,500. Bonded.
Austin Michael White, 20, Fort Wayne; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage, a Class C misdemeanor. No bond set.
Patience Renee Arkwright, 24, Bluffton; probation violation, a Class A misdemeanor. No bond set.
