Max Murchland and Stephenie Johnson Murchland of rural Markle marked their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
The couple was married April 7, 1973, at the Salem United Church of Christ in Magley, Ind., by Rev. Matthew Worhman.
Max has retired from Dana Corp. in Fort Wayne after 33 years of service. He now drives a bus for Northern Wells Community Schools. Stephenie has retired after a 51-year career as a hairdresser.
They have two children, the late Rachel Murchland Eckert and Nate Murchland (Angie Miller) of Markle. They also have two grandchildren, Macy Eckert and Max Eckert, both of Markle.
