The Wells County chapter of Psi Iota Xi will hold its annual Christmas House Walk this Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1-5 p.m.

This year, the historic home of Scott and Dayle Mentzer will be featured and decorated for the season. The Tudor-style manor, located at 628 E. South St. in Bluffton, was built in 1917 by former Bluffton Mayor John Mock.

The house itself sits on roughly three acres and contains four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, one half-bathroom and a finished basement. The property also includes a separate garage and a traditional carriage shed.

During the Christmas walk, visitors can view the home’s original English-imported woodwork, distinctive fixtures and curated antiques — many of which have been preserved and restored. The entire house will be open, and members of Psi Iota Xi will present the many unique features and rich history of the rooms on the main level of the house.

The Christmas House Walk acts as a primary fundraiser for the sorority, which raises upwards of $7, 000 annually for local charities and scholarships. Entry for the house walk is $5, and Psi Iota Xi will also sell their cheeseballs for $9.
