Norwell’s Ottinger to compete at boys’ tennis singles at Carroll
The Norwell No. 1 singles player Ethan Ottinger won his match last Thursday despite the team’s loss in the sectional championship to Huntington North. With the win, Ottinger continues on to the singles tournament as an individual.
The match will take place at Carroll High School at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 3, against North Side’s No. 1 singles pair.
Knights’ JV football wins over DeKalb
The Norwell JV football team won 38-8 over DeKalb Monday night.
Players for the Knights with touchdowns were Alex Fojtik 2 yard pass to Hayden Bennett, Alex Fojtik 38 yard pass to Trace Moser, Collin Burns 24 yard. run, Jacob Bischoff 4 yard run, and a Jacob Bischoff 22 yard run.
Trace Moser had an interception in the game.
The JV team will host Huntington North at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct 10.
Bluffton JV falls to Norwell
The Bluffton JV volleyball team lost in two sets over the visiting Norwell Knights Monday night. The scores were 25-11 and 25-13.
Stat leaders for the Lady Tigers were Haddie Yergler with six kills, Lexi Grady with six assists and Claire Craighead with six digs.
The next match for both the JV and varsity Bluffton teams will be at home at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 5 starting with JV.
For Norwell, they will be back on its home floor at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 4 against East Noble with the JV to start.
