Thursday, 8:30 p.m., Comfort Inn and Suites, 1782 N. Main St. man staying at the motel reported that he was being blackmailed about private pictures.
Friday, 5:48 a.m., 400 block of Eastmoor Drive. Report of a suspicious man walking about the street and in yards at the mobile home park. Officer responded and located the man who advised he was looking for a lost set of keys. He found them in a yard.
Friday, 7:34 a.m., residence in the 1000 block of Ranch Road. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm accidentally tripped.
Friday, 7:44 a.m., Bluffton-Harrison Elementary School, 1100 E. Spring St. Suspicious man walking in the parking lot. Officer responded and spoke with a man matching the description. He advised he was walking children to school.
Friday, 8:48 a.m., Wells County Foundation, 222 W. Market St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm tripped accidentally.
Friday, 10:32 a.m., Main Street at Dustman Road. Caller reported that the traffic cones being placed on the road by construction workers were confusing drivers.

Thursday, 2:12 p.m., WAFU Inc., 0300W-100S (former Corning glass plant). Report that a male worker had fallen out of a fork lift and had suffered a possible broken leg and a head injury. Sheriff’s deputies, Wells County EMS and Liberty Township Fire Department first responders dispatched.
Thursday, 3:57 p.m., Silo Farms, 11080N-Ind. 1. Sheriff’s deputies requested on a report that tenants at one of the mobile homes were becoming belligerent about being evicted.
Thursday, 10:17 p.m., sheriff’s deputy assisted the Warren Town Marshal and the Huntington County Sheriff’s office in the search for a man who had ran after crashing a stolen car following a police chase in Huntington County. The entire event took place in Huntington County. The man was located fairly quickly and placed into custody.
Friday, 12:37 a.m., Ind. 3 at Ind. 18 in Blackford County. Sheriff’s deputy assisted a state trooper conducting a traffic stop.

Wednesday, 4:59 p.m., Harrison Road at he main entrance to Harrison Plaza. A 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Shawn I. Bailey, 62, rural Marion, was hit from behind by a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country van driven by Roger A. Sherer, 67, Bluffton. Damage exceeded $2,500.
Friday, 12:12 p.m., Main Street at Sutton Circle. Leah B. Brown, 27, rural Decatur, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox sport utility vehicle south on Main Street when she failed to slow down in time for traffic that was slowing ahead of her. The Equinox thumped a 2008 Toyota Sienna van driven by Vickie A. Lyttle, 40, rural Craigville, from behind pushing it into the backside of 2010 Chevrolet driven by Brandi L. McCormick, 27, Bluffton. No one was injured. Damage exceeded $10,000.

Thursday, 1:15 p.m., 11794 N. Marzane Road. Steven R. Jessie Jr., 40, who lives at the address, was driving a 2021 Baodiao 9 Lines moped down his driveway when he wrecked the moped and suffered a broken leg. Wells County EMS and Markle Fire Department first responders were dispatched to the scene. Damage exceeded $1,000.
Thursday, 2:20 p.m., Ind. 116 southeast of 450E. A 2008 Chevrolet Uplander van driven by Tonya L. Shultz, 51, Bluffton, hit a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Bonnita K. Wyatt, 50, Bluffton, from behind as both vehicles were in a funeral procession. Damage exceeded $2,500.
Friday, 12:57 a.m., 300W at 1200S. Jose Nevares, 55, Montpelier, hit a deer with his 2006 Toyota Avalon. Damage to the car exceeded $10,000.

Thursday, 5:18 p.m., Bluffton-Harrison Elementary School, 1100 E. Spring St. Fire alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. Child had pulled the alarm. There was no fire.
Friday, 10:33 a.m., Bluffton City Hall, 128 E. Market St. Smell of natural gas. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. The odor was coming from sewer gas, not natural gas.
Friday, 1:23 p.m., Donald R. Hartley residence, 10301SE-Jeff Road. Caller reported cab of a truck on fire. Chester Township Fire Department dispatched and Montpelier Fire Department dispatched for mutual aid. The truck was engulfed when firefighters arrived 15 minutes later. The fire was under control at 2:05 p.m.
