Knights end regular season with win over Blackford on senior night
The Norwell Knights took a victory in boys’ soccer in the last regular season game of the season. The win came over Blackford 2-0, a win on senior night.
Parker Capps scored the lone goal in the first half for Norwell, assisted by Austin DeLeon.
The second goal came in the second half from senior Logan Renninger, assisted b Hudson Gerbers.
The Knights will take on Bishop Luers at Heritage High School in the first round of sectionals at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 4.
Southern Wells falls to Woodlan
The Southern Wells girls’ volleyball team lost its home match against Woodlan Thursday night.
The scores for the night were 25-4, 25-10, and 25-14.
With the ACAC loss, Southern Wells moves to 4-21 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
The Raiders will take the court next against Lakeland Christian Academy at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct 3, with the JV to start and varsity to follow.
