Saturday’s annual On the Banks of the Wabash band contest at Fred F. Parek Field in Bluffton was only slightly dampened by the showers that passed through.

Sixteen bands competed. Here is how they placed: 

Scholastic B

Bishop Dwenger — Best Visual; second place

Eastside — Best General Effect, Best Music; first place

Scholastic A

New Haven — third place

Wayne/South Side — second place

Northrop — Best Visual, General Effect, and Music; first place

Open D

Adams Central — third place

Whitko — Best Music; second place

Woodland — Best General Effect, Best Visual; first place

Norwell — participation

Concordia Lutheran — second place
