Norwell girls golf take out Garrett

The Lady Knights girls golf team finished at the top of the scoresheet yet again. This time, defeating Garrett High School on their home course at Timber Ridge. NHS finished with a team total 183, while GHS finished with a 280.

Leading all scorers was Anna Dodane who shot a 42. Emilyn Heaston, Hayden Double, and Ellie Gatton each scored a 47, while Emma Dodane finished with a 53. Norwell has placed first in three out of the four events so far this season, finishing second in the Bellmont invite.

The next event will be next Tuesday, August 16, 4:30 p.m. at home against Southern Wells and Eastbrook.

Bluffton girls golf claim quad victory

The Tigers golf team shot a 208 Tuesday and was the top team in the meet between Northfield (216), Oak Hill (249), and Eastbrook (256). Leading the field for Bluffton was Lily King (42), followed by Emma Schwartz (48), Kennedy Nash (56), Tressa Renner (62), and Eve Corckwell (69).

Bluffton will be on the course again August 16 at Adams Central.

Lady Raiders golf posts 201 at Marion

Southern Wells girls golf team traveled to Marion Elks Country Club Monday afternoon to take on Mississinewa, who did not post a team score due to the amount of players. A team best 43 from Kayleigh Jones lead the way, followed by Grace Meeks (46), Caroline Ripperger (54), and Hannah Duncan (58).

The Raiders will tee off Thursday, August 11, 4:30 p.m. at McMillen Golf Course against Adams Central and Heritage.
