As I write this column it will be published in time for you to take a look on Facebook.com/zanesvillelionsclub for updates on Saturday, July 30, for the Zanesville Lions Club Summer Festival. I am pleased to tell you that we have found a kids train and a few Lions members to sponsor it. Also, the parade is still planned but if you want in it you need to call Tara at 260-760-6070.
Also, County Line Pizza plans to be open all day.

The back to school bash at the Zanesville United Brethren Church will end up the day from 4 to 7 p.m. with food and festivities in the church yard. Get more information on the ZUB children’s ministry on Facebook.
The Zanesville Church of God continues to hold its Coffee Cafe on Wednesday from 7:30 to 10 a.m. This is open to both men and women of all ages.
Monday evenings at 6 p.m. the Church of God sponsors Centershot Archery for kids who love the sport. Residents are welcome to come and see them show off their skills. Bring a lawn chair.

I can’t begin to thank all of you who have stepped up to help the Lions get some of the vandalism cleaned up and ready for the festival. The shirts have arrived that were supposed tto be here for the May 5 5-kilometer run. We will be getting them delivered as soon as possible. If you have one coming and you have not received it, be sure to call.
