Tuesday, 3:23 p.m., 2990 E. Center Drive. Caller advised officers a dog bit his son. Dog taken to animal shelter for quarantine.
Tuesday, 3:28 p.m., Pretzels Inc., Bluffton. Report of woman’s arm stuck in a machine. Bluffton Fire Department responded. Woman’s arm was out of the machine by 4:24 p.m. Woman transported for medical attention.
Tuesday, 3:35 p.m., North Baldwin Street. Report of money stolen off a cash card and phone.
Tuesday, 5:52 p.m., South Baldwin Street. Caller reported his wife had been missing since a fight on June 25. Officers confirmed she was fine.
Tuesday, 6:27 p.m., 516 Meadow Lane. Individuals lighting fireworks outside of permitted times. Officers informed the individuals of the firework ordinance.
Tuesday, 6:49 p.m., West South Street at South Union Street. Verbal altercation between a man and a woman.
Tuesday, 7:18 p.m., McDonalds. Vehicle driving too fast and hit pole.
Tuesday, 8:47 p.m., Co Co China Buffet. Two calls reporting a baby raccoon walking around. Officers captured the raccoon and planned to take it to the animal shelter, but it ran off into a corn field.
Tuesday, 9:18 p.m., Westgate Road. Report of a 10-year-old bullying a 5-year-old and 7-year-old. Parties were separated and calmed.
Tuesday, 9:24 p.m., West Cherry Street. Caller reported the sound of shot. Witnesses said a man had shot into the ground.
Wednesday, 6:57 a.m., Advance Auto Parts. Burglary alarm. Officers confirmed everything was secure.
Wednesday, 7:53 a.m., Short Stop. Caller advising an individual had been fired for theft and the caller would like to speak with an officer.
Wednesday, 10:39 a.m., North Johnson Street. Two children ran away to their mother’s house in a custody dispute. Caller was unable to make contact with the children. Officers made contact and settled the issue.

Tuesday, 1:13 p.m., South Main Street. Report of a missing juvenile. Juvenile located by deputy.
Tuesday, 5:40 p.m., West Walnut Street. Missing diamond ring reported.
Tuesday, 11:18 p.m., Countryside Drive, Markle. Report of an unresponsive male. Man was administered naloxone. Drugs and drug paraphernalia located inside the apartment.
ACCIDENTS
City:
Tuesday, 7:18 p.m., Main Street near West Dustman Road. A juvenile was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo southbound on Main Street and began to change lanes without checking for another vehicle. The vehicle collided with a 2009 Honda Accord driven by John R. Williams, 68, Warren. A passenger in the Monte Carlo complained of pain and was transported to the hospital. Damage exceeded $5,000.

Wednesday, 12:33 a.m., South 400W, Poneto. Kaden Kaiser, 21, Poneto was traveling southbound on 700S in a 1998 Ford F-150 truck and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle hit a mailbox and then rolled before coming to a stop. Kaiser admitted to having had a drink that afternoon and performed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and failed. He was transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center for a Certified Breath Test. Results pending. Damage exceeded $10,000.
Ossian:
Monday, 3:35 p.m., West LaFever Street at Lynn Lane. Demetrius Files, 41, Fort Wayne was driving a 2018 Kenworth T880 dump truck and attempted to turn around while stopped because of construction. Files did not see the 2001 Yamaha XVZ motorcycle driven by Wade Smelser, 42, Ossian behind him and struck the motorcycle while backing up. Smelser attempted to move out of the way and jumped from the motorcycle to avoid injury. Files admitted he had been wearing one earbud at the time of the collision. Damage exceeded $10,000.
FIRES
Wednesday, 4:23 a.m., Grace & Mercy, Bluffton. Fire alarm. Building evacuating. Bluffton Fire Department responded. No fire or smoke located. Alarm may have been triggered by a water main break a block away.
ARRESTS
Devon Lee Birckey, 20, Bluffton; criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor; burglary, a Level 4 felony; fraud, a class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $12,500.
