Wednesday, 3:16 p.m., Indiana Pancake House, 919 N. Main St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. No sign of foul play.
Wednesday, 3:33 p.m., residence in the 800 block of South Main Street. Officer spoke with three recalcitrant boys about respecting their mother and grandmother.
Thursday, 2:09 a.m., Main Street at Capri Court. Officer detained three juveniles for violating curfew.
Thursday, 9:42 a.m., residence on Hi-Lo Drive. Officer investigated an issue where someone may be squatting in a vacant home.
Thursday, 12:25 p.m., residence in the 400 block of West Spring Street. Someone abandoned an adult’s bicycle in the caller’s front yard.

Wednesday, 3:12 p.m., Ouabache State Parl. Caller reported witnessing some people kick the dog that was with them and hold it under water. Deputy dispatched. Incident remains under investigation.
Thursday, 6:39 a.m., residence on 750E north of 1150N. Burglar alarm in a barn. Deputy responded. Alarm malfunctioned.
Thursday, 7:21 a.m., 450E near Ind. 124. While on patrol a sheriff’s deputy came across two ducks in the road mourning the loss of a comrade. Concerned the two living ducks would also be hit by a vehicle — as the third deceased duck obviously had — the deputy removed the dead duck and shooed the two survivors off the road.

Thursday, 7:43 a.m., Berne Apparel, 2501E-850N. Report of a cold and clammy employee. Officer, Wells County EMS and Ossian Fire Department first responders dispatched.
ACCIDENTS
County:
Wednesday, 2:43 p.m., Ind. 116 at 600E. Carolyn Ivins, 18, rural Bluffton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala north on 600E. She stopped for Ind. 116 and then drove into the path of a northwestbound 1998 Buick Regal driven by Jonathon D. Smuts, 19, Coldwater, Ohio. Damage exceeded $2,500.
Wednesday, 5:28 p.m., Spencer M. Gambil, 30, Fort Wayne, obliterated a deer with a 2004 International semi registered to J-Anna Logistics, rural Huntington. The semi tractor sustained more than $2,500 damage.
Thursday, 9:25 a.m., Ind. 1 north of U.S. 224. A deer ran into the side of a 2021 Kia K5 driven by Taylor D. Saunders, 29, rural Ossian. The deer then fled the scene. Damage to the Kia exceeded $1,000.
