It is a beautiful day today! The flowers are blooming and the leaves of the trees are wonderfully green. I think summer is here!
Come on down to the Zanesville Lions Club Park and enjoy the playgrounds, the fitness area and the pavilion. You will be able to catch some really good baseball playing as the teams are catching up with schedules. There is a basketball court in the back of the park for you to enjoy with your friends and family.
Our hearts are saddened and our condolences go out to the family of Gary Fausz who passed away at the age of 71 on May 6. Gary and his wife have resided many years just one mile south of Zanesville on Marzane Road. His lawn business was next door.
During all the years he was in business, he supported the Zanesville Lions activities. I put signs up just across the road and many times, even when he was ailing, he came across to help me pound them in the ground and, like me, he loved to talk and we did.

I received a note from the daughters (Rhonda and Linda) of Jim and Lois Vinson who were long time residents of Broadway Street in Zanesville. Everyone in this area is beholden to Jim as he was greatly involved for many years in getting the town incorporated so that we could have a sewer system. Not only that, he was also a great asset to the Zanesville Lions Club helping with everything that he could. It is partially because of his contribution of many great books that our Lions Free Library was founded.
When the Vinsons moved to town Jim’s wife Lois came with him. She also was a great asset to all her friends and neighbors as you could never find a more kind and tender lady.
