Friday, 2:51 p.m., Phil’s One Stop, 1303 S. Main St. Panic alarm. Officers responded. Alarm accidentally tripped.
Friday, 8:23 p.m., Bluffton police received a report of a maroon passenger car headed toward Bluffton on Ind. 124 at a high rate of speed. A Bluffton police officer set up and waited for the car to pass by, reportedly clocking it at 65 mph-50 zone. The officer pulled the vehicle over as it turned onto Creek Drive in the Bluffton Woods mobile home park. While speaking with the driver, identified as Colin Gosnowski, 39, Celina, Ohio, the officer reported being able to smell an odor of raw marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Gosnowski initially denied the presence of marijuana in the vehicle but then, upon further questioning by the officer, he allegedly admitted there was. The officer searched the vehicle and reportedly found a small container labeled Green Strawberry Runtz Sugar — a waxy marijuana product referred to as “dabs.” During the search the officer allegedly also found a glass pipe with residue and an unopened white package containing a quarter of an ounce of marijuana. Gosnowski was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor; and driving 65 mph-50 zone, a Class C infraction. He was released from custody on his own recognizance.
Friday, 8:40 p.m., Central Avenue at Scott Street. Car alarm sounding and caller thought the vehicle might have been broken into. Officer responded. The alarm had been tripped accidentally.
Saturday, 3:18 a.m., residence in the 1200 block of Lakeview Court. Report of an unresponsive 95-year-old male. Coroner contacted.
Saturday, 8:13 a.m., Pak-A-Sak convenience store, 904 S. Main St. Caller reported a woman was passed out in a vehicle parked in the convenience store parking lot. Officers and Wells County EMS responded. She claimed to have been just sleeping.
Saturday, 3:17 p.m., Star Engineering and Machine, 1717 Lancaster St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. No sign of foul play found.
Saturday, 5:34 p.m., Main Street near Willowbrook Trail. Report that a woman kept entering and exiting a vehicle, was running around erratically and kept yelling “Call 911!” Officers and sheriff’s deputies responded and located both the vehicle and the woman. The driver of the vehicle, Justin Klinglesmith, Greenwood, was arrested on a warrant out of Clark County for failure to appear for a court hearing on an original charge of theft, a Class A misdemeanor. The woman was transported to Parkview Behavioral Health.
Saturday, 6:09 p.m., Praxis, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Report of a male patient making both suicidal and homicidal threats. The man was taken to Parkview Behavioral Health in Fort Wayne.
Saturday, 7:25 p.m., Walnut Street at Marion Street. Red Honda Accord with a broken axle blocking the street. Officer responded and discovered the vehicle had been abandoned. When he performed a records check on the vehicle he discovered that the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license. The owner did not return to retrieve the vehicle so the officer had the vehicle towed.
Sunday, 12:05 p.m., Praxis, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Male patient expressing “severe” homicidal thoughts. Officers responded.
Sunday, 1:45 p.m., person came to the Bluffton Police Department to dispose of a hypodermic syringe the person found on the Rivergreenway.
Sunday, 6:34 p.m., Reid Street at Clark Avenue. Vehicle sustained disabling damage after hitting a pothole.

Friday, 2:46 p.m., 200N at 100E. Trash in the roadway. Deputy responded and removed as much as possible.
Friday, 10:50 p.m., 400W at 1100S. Report of possible poaching. Sheriff’s deputy checked the area but did not see anyone.
Saturday, 2:12 a.m., residence on 500W north of Ind. 124. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle turned around in the barnyard of the residence and left a black car behind on the property.
Saturday, 11:18 p.m., 300W at 700N. Report of a woman walking alongside the road and a pickup truck was following alongside her. Sheriff’s deputy was at 300W and U.S. 224, and saw the truck but by this time the woman was back inside. He followed the pickup truck to a residence just north of Ind. 124 and spoke with both the male driver and the female passenger. Both stated there had been an argument and that she had gotten out of the truck walked a distance and had gotten back into it again, but neither wished to pursue the matter further.
Sunday, 8:52 a.m., residence on Ind. 116 southeast of Meridian Road. Burglar alarm. Deputy responded. No sign of foul play found.
Monday, 8:16 a.m., Ind. 124 near 300W. Injured fawn in a field. Sheriff’s deputy responded and noted that the fawn was likely hit by a vehicle. He put the fawn down with his service weapon.
Ossian:
Friday, 8:24 p.m., Mill Street at Ogden Street. Ossian police officer pulled over a vehicle after checking its license plate and learning the registered owner had a revoked driver’s license. The registered owner was not the driver, however the officer reported smelling an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver was identified in the officer’s report as Shawna Butler, Ossian, and her female passenger was identified as Ashley Medsker, Ossian. Medsker allegedly admitted to having smoked marijuana in the vehicle earlier in the day but had flicked the marijuana cigarette out of the window of the vehicle. The officer performed a search of the vehicle and allegedly found two jars of “dabs,” a waxy substance made from the THC oil derived from marijuana. At first neither of the woman would claim ownership of the dabs but allegedly Medsker later claimed the dabs were hers. Medsker was summoned to Wells Superior Court on one count of possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. Butler was cited into Wells Superior Court for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Friday, 11:21 p.m., residence in the 500 block of Ingle Drive. Report that a man was at the residence threatening give his estranged wife’s new boyfriend a beating as soon as he arrived at the residence. Officers tried speaking with the man but he reportedly wouldn’t listen and when the new boyfriend arrived at the residence, the man tried to break free from officers. He eventually was talked into leaving the residence with relatives. An officer confiscated the man’s firearm. On Sunday, at 4:27 p.m., police again returned to the residence after the estranged husband reportedly showed up at the residence and broke a storm door trying to get into the house.
Sunday, 2:39 a.m., residence in the 600 block of Wheatridge Court, Country Meadows addition. Report of a physical altercation among a man, a woman, and the man’s mother. Officer and sheriff’s deputies dispatched. Situation was calmed and the parties were separated. Information was taken for a report with the potential for charges to be filed.
Sunday, 9:17 p.m., residence in the 300 block of West Mill Street. Report of an altercation between a man and a woman at the residence. Officer and sheriff’s deputies responded. Reportedly the male half got into a verbal altercation with the female half over his wanting to play a video game. During the argument, he reportedly struck the woman in the mouth while she was holding their infant son. Keaton Dale Detrow, 21, of that address was charged with domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $25,000.
ACCIDENTS

Sunday, time unknown. Perry Street at Johnson Street. Parked 2015 Chevrolet Malibu registered to Timothy O. Davis, Fort Wayne, hit by a hit-and-run driver. Damage exceeded $2,500.
County:
Ind. 218 east of 500W. Krista Gore, 19, rural Warren, swerved to avoid a vehicle that drifted into her lane and the 2009 Ford Focus she was driving slid out of control on the ice and snow, spun 90 degrees and slid off the road. Damage to the car was estimated at less than $1,000.

Sunday, 12:47 p.m., Lowe’s Home Improvement, 2105 N. Main St. Fire alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No fire. A broken water pipe triggered the alarm.
