William Jeffrey “Jeff” Brackin, 64 of Bluffton passed away on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 1, 2026, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Jeff was born on Sept. 2, 1962, in Allen County, Indiana to William Brackin and Betty Jean (Davidson) Plus. He attended Carroll High School and Chamberlain High School. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1985.
He worked at Sterling Casting for 13 years, A.T. Ferrell and F.C.C. His greatest accomplishments that he was most proud of were his children and grandchildren. Jeff always made it a priority to be there for his family and friends. He enjoyed trains, muscle cars and trucks.
He will be remembered by his children; Tanya (Danny Martin) Brown of Marion and Andrew (Kirsten) Brackin of Bluffton along with two grandchildren, Damon (Raigen) Nuckols of Marion and Finn Brackin of Bluffton.
Jeff is also survived by his siblings, Greg Brackin of Florida, Michelle McCarty of Tennessee and Richard Brackin of Indiana, and his former spouse, Holliayn Brown of Bluffton.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Christian New Light Church, 1011 W Washington St. in Bluffton, Ind.
