Kathy McClain, 71, of Liberty Center, died Oct. 8, 2026, at her residence in Liberty Center.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1955, in Muncie. She married Jerry McClain on Feb. 14, 1990, in Hartford City.
She will be missed by her husband, Jerry McClain of Liberty Center; children, Stephani (Bryan) Sands of Hartford City, and Michelle Risinger of Hartford City, Jamie McClain of Montpelier; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and siblings, Clessie Reynolds of Arlington, Tecas, Jean McCoin of Hartford City, Patty Costa of Saugus, Massachusetts, and Loretta Youngblood of London, Ohio, Rolen Watters of Converse, James Watters, Jr., of Bulverde, Texas, and David Watters of Arlington, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Watters and Dortha (Winchester) Watters; son, Samuel Risinger; and siblings, Marsha Phillips and Darrell Watters.
Family and friends may gather 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St. in Montpelier.
A service to celebrate her life will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
