Jerry Coleman, 83, of rural Albany, passed away at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, in Albany. He was born on Friday, Feb. 19, 1943, in Montpelier. He married Patricia Joan (Wilson) Coleman on Sunday, Dec. 13, 1959, in Fayette, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Joan Coleman; daughter, Lisa (John) Gaskill, Keystone; sons, Robbie Coleman, Albany, and Timothy (Lisa) Coleman, Dunkirk; son-in-law, Ricky Hunt, Carthage, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Albert Coleman; mother, Agnes Coleman; daughter, Jerri Lynn Coleman; brothers, Wayne Coleman, Kenny Coleman, Jimmy Coleman, Ronnie Coleman, Myron Coleman and Terry Coleman; and sisters, Gloria Coleman, Marsha Coleman and Tammy Coleman.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, IN, on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
A service to celebrate his life will follow the viewing at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Twin Hill – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville.
