William L. “Bill” Boxell, 88, of Warren, passed away at 2:54 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, at Parkview Huntington Hospital in Huntington, Indiana.
Born on Monday, Jan. 17, 1938, in Warren, he was the son of the late Johnathan “Earl” and Johnina (Long) Boxell.On Saturday, April 28, 1956, he married Bonnie (Buckland) Boxell, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Sherri) Boxell of Indianapolis; his daughter, Cynthia Samples of Centerville; his sister, Deanna Johnston of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery A. Boxell; and his sister, Mona Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in rural Marion with Chaplain Gerald Moreland officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren, Indiana.
