Steven John Kendall, 69, of Montpelier, and formerly of New Hampshire and Maine, passed away Aug. 23, 2026, at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.
He was born in Rochester, New Hampshire, on April 13, 1957, to Alvin and Nancy Kendall. He married Donna Jean (Mosier) Kendall on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, in Augusta, Maine.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean (Mosier) Kendall of Montpelier; children, Scott John (Bekki) Kendall of Williamsport, New Hampshire, Kevin John (Angela) Kendall of Caribou, Maine, Shane Urban (Melissa) Minnich of Fort Wayne, and Todd Michael (Crissy) Hough of Ossian, Kristin Marie (Almir) Culum of Concord, New Hampshire, and Grace Mabel Minnich of Montpelier; sisters, Dolly Ann (Dave) Libby and Paula Racey; and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin John Kendall and Nancy Lee (Craigue) Kendall; great-grandson, Noah Thomas Minnich; and daughter, Amy Lynn Minnich.
Family and friends may gather to share memories and celebrate Steve’s life from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 28, 2026, at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St. in Montpelier.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home with Martin Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier.
