Judith E. McCormick, 91, of Bluffton, passed away on Saturday evening, Aug. 1, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Judy was born on Jan. 20, 1935, in Chicago to Harry W. and Thelma (Fields) James. She graduated from Portland High School in 1952. She furthered her education at Bakersfield California Community College for one year. She held numerous jobs, working as a waitress, dog trainer and she was a realtor with ReMax Executive. Judy enjoyed knitting and reading. Judy was an entrepreneur her whole life, even into her later years. She also was brave and learned many activities including water skiing, horse owner and Harley Davidson motorcycle riding.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Tammie) McCormick of San Diego, DeeDee (Chip) Alford of Mount Dora, Florida, Linda Wirtz of Orlando, Kenneth (Ginni) McCormick of Orlando and David McCormick of California; along with seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Jackie Sayring of El Segundo, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joy Patterson.
Per Judy’s wishes no services are planned at this time.
