Barbara LeeAnn Schomber, 55, of Keystone passed away Aug. 1, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born Aug. 27, 1970, in Hartford City. She married Kenneth Wayne Schomber on Jan. 27, 1995, in Lansing, Michigan.
She will be missed by her husband; sons, Brandon W.F. (Elise) Schomber of Montpelier and Bennett Jaymes Schomber and Blayden Victor Schomber, both of Keystone; one grandchild; sisters, Bernadette (Gary) Elkins of Eaton, Indiana and Brandi Reynolds of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Leroy “Charley” Bales and Beneranda “Bennie” (Schlotter) Bales; and son, Bryceon Schomber.
Family and friends may gather 4-8 p.m. Aug. 5 at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W Windsor St. in Montpelier. A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 6 at the funeral home with Dustin Schlotter officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
