NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Town of Markle Town Council (“Town Council”) will conduct a public hearing at a regular meeting held on Monday, July 13, 2026, beginning not earlier than 6:00 pm local time, in the Markle Town Hall, 154 E. Morse Street, Markle, Indiana 46770, to consider Ordinance 2026-2 which, if the Ordinance is adopted, would increase the fees charged by the Huntington Countywide Department of Community Development for various building, electrical, plumbing, fence, and other permits and administrative fees. All interested persons are invited to attend.
At the public hearing, all interested persons may be heard concerning the proposed fees/expenses set out in Ordinance No. 2026-2, the Proposed Schedule of Fees, and matters reasonably related thereto. The public hearings may be continued from time to time. After the public hearing, it is anticipated that the Town Council shall formally consider Ordinance No. 2026-2 and the Proposed Schedule of Fees either as introduced or as modified by the Town Council.
Copies of Ordinance No. 2026-2 and the Proposed Schedule of Fees are available for examination prior to the hearing at: (i) the office of the Huntington Countywide Department of Community Development, County Courthouse Room 204, 201 North Jefferson Street, Huntington, Indiana 46750, (260) 358-4840; and (ii) in the office of the Markle Clerk-Treasurer, Markle Town Hall, 154 E. Morse Street, Markle, Indiana 46770, (260) 758-3193.
