G. Les Ackley, 92, of Warren, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
He was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Greene County, Ohio, the son of Grover Elwood Ackley and Olive (Steele) Ackley. On Jan. 1, 1955, he married Ruthann Brubaker in Warren.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ruthann Ackley; his daughter, Michele Heaston, of Markle; his son, Steve (Kara) Ackley of Uniondale; his daughter-in-law, Cammy Ackley of Uniondale; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Les was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mike Ackley; and his sisters, Eleanor, Betty, Janet, June, Kathryn and Patty.
Family and friends may gather to share memories during visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Heritage Pointe of Warren, 801 N Huntington Ave. in Warren. A celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
