
Gary D. Lupp, 58, of Uniondale, passed away Monday morning April 21, 2026, at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne after a year-long battle with cancer and other health issues.
Gary was a 1987 graduate of Norwell High School, where he was a proud member of the band as a percussionist. He attended City Church in Fort Wayne. Gary was an avid Fort Wayne Komets Hockey Fan and had followed the team all over the country for over 20 years. He collected toy tractors and was a big fan of cars, car shows and drum and bugle corps. He enjoyed working on the family farm over the years and spending time at the Markle Hardware Store. Gary loved animals, especially his cat Dandelion.
Gary was born on Feb. 18, 1968, in Bluffton, the son of Kenneth A. Lupp and Caralene (Fishbaugh) Lupp.
Survivors include his father, Ken Lupp of Virginia Beach, Virginia; an uncle: Harold R. (Connie) Lupp of Landisburg, Pennsylvania; and two cousins, Nicole Bizzle and Chad Lupp.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St. in Markle.
A memorial service will also take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the Horeb Cemetery, Uniondale, at a later date.
