
Cheryl Ann Maller, 73 of Bluffton, passed away on Sunday evening, Feb. 15, 2026, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born on June 26, 1952, in Bluffton to James H. & Eileen (Krieg) Hall. Cheryl graduated from Bluffton High School in 1971 and worked at Corning Glass Works for five years. She moved to South Carolina where she worked in a ceramics business for 10 years, before moving back to Bluffton. She was a former member of the Bluffton Moose Lodge and an active member of the American Legion Post #111 Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, making ceramics and going out to have fun with her friends!
Cheryl married John Maller in Charleston, South Carolina, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew Dale Frantz of Tennessee and Ted Edward Frantz of Alabama, and a sister, Deborah Smith of Minnesota.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Doug Miller, Kurt Miller, Kim Reynolds, Christopher Hall, Jeremy Hall, Penny Gibson Steven J. Hall, II. and Scott Hall, along with many great-nieces and nephews.
Cheryl is preceded in death by a son, Chad Eric Frantz and brothers, Steven J. Hall and Thomas L. Hall, and a niece, Brenda.
As Cheryl requested, there will be no formal service at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lemler family of Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Friends can share online condolences with her family at www.thomarich.com.
