Teri LeAnn Wilson, 56, passed away at home on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, following a short illness. She was born on Oct. 23, 1969, to Marjorie Elgin Barger of Bluffton and Jerry Elgin.

Teri lived most of her younger life in Wells County and attended Norwell Community Schools. She met her future husband Rick Wilson in Florida, and they were married on Oct. 3, 2009. They moved to South Dakota, then later to South Carolina to care for Rick’s mother in 2017.

Teri has one son, Nicholas Brown, who resides in Fort Wayne, and step-children Tristan and Adam in South Carolina, Sarah in Kentucky, Lindsay in Florida and Danielle in Alabama. Teri was a loving grandmother to their 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. 

Teri was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry James, who passed away in 2014. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Rick Wilson, and mother Marjorie (Marge) Barger of Bluffton, are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchild, along with a sister Kerrie (Steve) Johnson of Pennville, and many nieces and nephews.

Teri will always be remembered as having a sense of humor and being very loving. She will be deeply missed by her family.
