Patricia I. “Patti” Coyne, 82, of Monroeville, passed away on Monday evening, Dec. 29, 2025, at Ossian Health Care.
She was born on Aug. 20, 1943, in Decatur, to the late Dan and Irene (Keller) Death. Patricia was united in marriage to JR Coyne on Sept. 10, 1982, in Decatur, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2024.
She was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church in New Haven, Indiana.
In her free time, Patti enjoyed spending time working on puzzles, painting, reading and time spent outside gardening.
Patricia is survived by her children, James (Carol) Salway II of Fort Wayne, Barry (Vonda) Salway of Fort Wayne, Reba (Mark) McMillen of Markle, Karen Kaehr of Fort Wayne, Kristy (Lyle) Haines of Berne, Kathy (Henry) Pearson of Granbury, Texas, and Beth Coyne of Berne; as well as 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Deith and Dwight Hoffman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be announced at a future date with inurnment following at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Cemetery in New Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church and mailed to the Zwick & Jahn Funeral, 520 N. 2nd St., Decatur, Indiana 46733.
