Mary R. Gallagher, 90, of Dunkirk, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
She was born on Saturday, Sep. 28, 1935 in Hillsboro, Kentucky.
She will be missed by her sons, David Nelson Gallagher of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Kevin Walker Gallagher of Berne; grandchildren, Michael Gallagher of Berne, Crystal Gallagher of Berne, Sherri Sark of Bluffton, Tonya Newsome of Dunkirk, Amanda Ring of Dunkirk, Travis Gallagher of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, David Matthew Gallagher of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Jonathan Gallagher of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; sisters, Juanita Mae Talbot of Indiana, Bessie Hummel of Portland and Naomi Christine Graves of Poneto; and several great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Albert Walker Gallagher; father, W. Roscoe Gray; mother, Jessie M. (Hatfield) Gray; daughters, Glenda Joyce Gallagher and Mary A. Foor; grandchild, Jeremy Newsome; sisters, Helena Reed and Oleda Francis Saunders; and brothers, Wendell Gray and Marvin Wayne Gray.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026 at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home located at 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Maller officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026 in the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, KY.
