Carl William “Bill” Cook, 85, of Uniondale, died Jan. 3, 2026, at his home.
He was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Geneva. He married Carol Ann (Rosswurm) Cook Oct. 19, 1968, in Decatur. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany.
He will be forever missed by his wife, Carol Ann (Rosswurm) Cook of Uniondale; children, Kevin L. (Jodi) Cook of Monroe and Raquel Ann (Lloyd) Link of Craigville; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren; and brother, Marvin (Rochelle) Cook of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Cook and Blanche (Nevil) Cook; children, Christopher DeWayne Cook and Dianna Lynn Studebaker; one great-grandchild; and siblings, James, George Fred, and Richard Cook and Peggy Marlene Bowman.
Family and friends may gather from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 9, 2026, at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St. in Geneva.
A service to celebrate Bill’s life will follow at 2 p.m. at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Nevil officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the US Army.
